I'm currently on an IEC WHV and so I have 2 year travel insurance for the duration of this (an extension on the 1 year I had prior)... I also have OHIP currently because Ive worked the necessary 3 months. Once my visa runs out I will lose Ohip whilst waiting for for the OWP to come through...

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's automatically extended now while your application is processing... you just need the visitor visa active while youre doing the applying.

I just read the full guide for the new application kit and it says "when asked for your police certificates you'll have to submit them for".... country where you currently.live and country you grew up in

I'm pretty sure it will be difficult to be approved since you married 1 month after first meeting each other in person. Especially if you apply right away. They reject people who have known each other longer/lived together so you should try being together a while before applying.

Haha funny you should suggest that because outland wasn't an option at first... until I came on here and saw how long it takes to get the OWP and then I saw how long it takes to get the certificate so now we came up with the idea of me working back in the UK for some time...

Do you know if that still stands with the new application pack? I've seen a lot of posts on how much less they want submitted and all could find in the pack itself where I would put this info is the box for any other information supporting your application.

Thanks :) Yeah we know we can't do the common law route. We will be applying once the marriage certificate comes through so 2/3 months after the wedding. Hence my concern about an interview since it all seems rushed. We aren't worried about the interview per se but that's where I was wondering...

How would applying to different offices affect it other than processing time? Wouldnt I need to show I'm living in canada if applying through ottawa and then be here for any interviews? Same with London, would I have to be in England for checks and interviews?
