    MAY 2021 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

Usually changes from (In Process) IP to application received, means you submitted something, and they received it. It usually happens, after they received your medical results, for example. Then it comes back to IP, as they continue/start the background check.

What is the default status of the background check in GCKEY? Isn't it "We are processing your..."? Was there an initial status before this? And if they already started the Background check stage, does it change to "We already started processing..." or "is already in progress"

Thank you for your advice and testimonial. Appreciated it. Yeah, it is really a case to case basis.

    The Outland Sponsorship Process

I’ve been reading process steps and timelines. Is it safe to assume that the eligibility assessment is completed (as part of Stage 2), when they already requested for a medical and you already passed it? As Medical, Background check and Security are all part of Stage 3?

Then most likely, SA is still in progress. Once SA is completed, you'll supposed to see a status of "Decision Made" on the Sponsor's side. No reason to be worried if you know your eligibility is okay. Hoping for the best!

Make sure you use the application number, not the UCI number, since the sponsor and the applicant has different UCI numbers.

Medical or Bio request are usually sent to the PA's (your wife's) email. So make sure you check it. If you already linked your application, a message should be sent to you there. If SA is not determined yet, then maybe that's why there are no BIO or Medical requests yet. I advise you to check...

    MAY 2021 *Outland* Spousal Sponsorship

After medical is passed, would any status change on say the "Background Check"? Will it really change to "In progress", as soon as they start the background check? I am asking, because once you link the application, the background check status has always been "We are processing", so I was...

I read on other forums, this is normal, usually a sign that the application is received by a Visa office.

Sponsorship Application is already approved, so the Principal Applicant’s application is now sent to the Visa Office for processing. The question is, do CPC Sydney usually send the PA’s application to the visa office of the Country of Citizenship and not the current Country of Residence?

    The Outland Sponsorship Process

Thanks! So it matters, with regards to the quickness of which VO is processing the application, in which case, Canadian VO's are relatively quicker. I am just particular to the BIOMETRICS and MEDICAL or if an interview is required, as it would be requested, from the residence of the PA, not the...

    The Outland Sponsorship Process

Just a question. Does it matter which Visa office they send the PA application? Is it really usually on the Visa office of the PA's citizenship, not on the current residence? (e.g. PA's British, but residing in Russia)

I have a GCKey account from my PR and Citizenship application, can I link my wife's PR application to my account, as well? I asked her to create her own account, and was supposed to link her application to that account. Is it possible to link her application to both our separate accounts?

Thanks! That's what I thought. For linking, I still need to wait for a few days, right? Before I can actually link the application? I actually tries using the online tool, it seems the application is not yet updated in the system. Besides, I just received the BIL today.

Is it normal to just receive a Biometric Instruction Letter, and no AOR yet? Or should I link the application first, to see all the processing details?
