I disagree with some of the comments on this thread. Demanding to be treated fairly is not unreasonable. If there was maybe a few weeks or even a month or 2 gap between the processing of Online vs Paper, I would live with it. Instead there is not a single Online applicant that has been processed...

I don't want to jump the line I just want online applicants to be processed the same time as paper applicants. There's been no single movement of any applicant that applied after Jan 2022. June 2022 applicants already have their test done and are just waiting for oath. It's completely unfair...

They have caught on about the presence of this forum. They know that if they tell you the real reason why not a single applicant from 2022 has seen any movement on their application, they would have to process 9 months of withdrawn online applications and a flood of new paper applications in 1 day.

I assume they would get to online only when they finish every single paper application. We just have to wait a few years.

lol, exactly. Applicants were able to apply online since 2020 December. Its almost 2 years and the staff still needs training apparently. I bet you its the older staff that are refusing to adapt to the new processes, or their systems are very old and keep crashing or even when they try to access...

Interesting. Now that all can apply online, You wonder if IRCC would switch to processing Online applications faster.

My biggest fear is that I would switch to paper and then IRCC would then stop attending to paper and start with online applications so when I switch back I'll be 1 year behind on the list

I hope I'm wrong but it's seems so. So far anyone who has contacted ircc has been referred to the 27 months processing time. I'll give it till the end of the month to see the reply to @wksj gcms that asks what's their plan for online applications this year. If no reply by then I'll ask...

My guess is online applications may have to wait the 27 months. The last gcms notes said they only plan to process 5000 online applications and there have been no updates on what to do with the other applicants

I love how IRCC told everyone to apply online and just completely ignore Online applicants. At this rate it could be years before online applications are attended to, or they could claim they lost the online files and make us reapply
