Have they completed their medical exam?

Is your husband here on work permit/study permit? Was he requested for medicals for his pr application?

ircc during covid started processing criminality as soon as the application is received and even before the process starts. Now that the process started, it means that your file has been finally assigned to an officer. did you inform ircc that you got married and that you want to add your wife...

then that is reason why it took so long for them to start processing your application, because it was incomplete when it was received.

they did not request any documents before they started processing it?

i guess you will just have to wait.. ircc officers work randomly. some people get their pr in a year and some in over 2 years.

have you checked your application status on ecas: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en ? what does it say? in process? or decision made?

when was the last time you heard from them?

congrats! any idea where is your file is being processed? it is usually mentioned at the end of the eligibility letter
