from what I know, your friend would be ineligible to claim asylum in Canada since they claimed asylum in a different country already. But I don't know if there are any exceptions to this rule if they have an immediate family in Canada.

No, you as the dependent is approved once you get your copr. Don’t worry. If your wife got her pr then you’ll get yours soon. If there was any issue with the dependents then you’d have heard from IRCC by now. When was the main applicants pr approved?

Just out of curiosity, is it illegal to have a representative/counsel to be in a relationship with the claimant? Or the issue here was that the claimant and the counsel in the same room during the hearing?

OSC is in Ottawa.. I am not sure who is responsible for printing the PR card whether it is going to be OSC or IRCC Calgary. Regardless of that, you're now a permanent resident, and that is what matters. The card will come sooner or later. You, as a refugee, do not need your PR card to travel...

Wow lucky you.. Etobicoke is the worst IRCC office in Canada. They take months to issue the eCoPR after submitting photos and address..
