No need to update his address if he is staying temporarily.

Many had to send multiple webforms and call CIC repeatedly. If you have not done yet, speak with your MP.

Don't worry about the possibilities. Just wait for the passport to be stamped. You can see in MyCIC when COPR is created and how long the PR visa will be valid.

It will be best for you to discuss with the airline about the requirement.
