    Parents sponsorship question.

I don't understand your question. Did you got picked by the 2018 lottery? If you did, simply do not submit an application. (since you know it will be rejected anyway) If you didn't get picked, then just try again next year. (they will have another "express interest" form to fill out next year)

    Parents sponsorship question.

So you mean that you've already got picked for the 2018 lottery? If you submit the application and do not have enough income for 2015, your application will be processed and will be rejected. Application process may take 1 year or 2 so you will likely not be able to try again "next year" but...

    Parents sponsorship question.

"expressed interest" means have you filled out the interest to sponsor form earlier this year. The entries to "express interest" have ended for 2018 and the lottery to be able to sponsor for 2018 have been drawn. So your next chance is 2019.

    Dual Intent entry, my experience.

I see. I guess they can do either inland or outland in this case.

    Dual Intent entry, my experience.

For his case, I think inland make most sense. He cannot start sponsorship until he meet his RO. So there is no way he can do outland sponsorship for his wife and child. Since they are visa exampted, they should be OK to enter and then will have to renew their status (as visitors) while they...

Your PR card can expire but your PR status doesn't. As long as you have a permanent SIN assigned, you are good. The only issue with employment is that if your new job require you to travel OUTSIDE of Canada, you will have problem coming back. (without a valid PR card)
