Yogi, The whole BC thing is a gong show. Most provinces would accept the COPR as a document. I have been waiting 20+ mnths to get PR card, so I can get other BC documents. I hope you don't have to wait as long!

Same in Vancouver, it’s crickets. CERB ends in a few days, new ministers will be called on 26th, fed workers need to be vaxed now, so maybe things will ramp up? Oh wait Afghanistan situation is still taking precedence over everything…Supposedly there will be a dedicated task force to address...

I got similar information. They were asking for credentials that had already been included in the webform [UCI, DOB, County of Birth - really silly I think]. It was like Twilight Zone.

As I am working through the application- this is the biggest case ‘let the dog chase its tail’… provincially, you need a PR card to get Health ID Card, Driver’s license etc….so it’s recognized as ID, but the PR card can’t be used as ID on the Citizenship Application. I’m at a loss for that...

Yeah, but *WE* can’t make those arrangements, we have to wait until holy IRCC contacts *US*. Hopefully with federally mandated vaccines for federal workers, they will get back to work, off of CERB or working from home, and open the offices to get things moving, so what…..maybe by October we will...

By the time you get the card, it’s going to have less than 4 years for expiry and you will need to renew in 3 years to avoid having an expired card too :S

Judging from lack of response, it would see that no one has been given appointments to come in, in almost over 2 years! @rajkamalmohanram , we could really use your expertice in acquiring the records and stats you received for the backlogged Citizenship cases [since 2019].

Curious to know if anyone has received as appointment letter to come in and pickup their PR Card in person yet? If so, when and what city are you in??

This is ironic though, I know some who completed proctored online test. They used a proctor service, cost 12$ and they were “watched” via camera. Vouloir, c’est pouvoir!!

It actually says 'Date of Departure from Canada', this is why I asked......
