Friends, We have finally got the PR cards finally after 5 months. Thank god ..... Just a piece of advice for all those who are about to land and waiting for the PR cards. It is very common for officers to ask if you are going to stay in Canada (while you land) and for god sake answer "YES"...

Send a CSE to your VO. You could have gone in-person to get your visa's stamped!

Thanks for your response. We did receive the PR card for my wife and not for me and my son. Current processing time has changed from 44 to 50 Business days in the last 2 days. Should I wait for 50 days to follow-up?

Sam, SInce you are staying in Canada for a week, try coming back to the US (with valid visa) and go back to Canada as if you were landing again ....try applying for the PR card saying that you are moving into Canada for a few months now and give Canadain address of your friend \ relative !

Guys, Should you need a travel document to re-enter Canada while your PR is in-process? Can't you use COPR to re-enter ? If not, how long does it take to apply for a travel document ? And where shld it be applied ? Please advice.... Regards, Kummy

I would recommend to keep your PR status rather than applying all over again !

My sincere recommendation is to take your kid with you.... PR cards are processed for applicants who have landed. If your son is allergic to long travel, try getting a flight which splits the total journey hours equally. (try lufthansa)... Another idea is to stay in frankurt or any other...

Atul, I have seen many people on this forum getting a similar note from the VO and all have got good news... You will receive your's soon ! Congrats !

basmalahh, Nope, Never send passport(s) until the VO requests for it.... I have seen in many cases that VO gets really mad on receiving the passports without being requested !

I would have advised you the same thing, even If haven't landed...it is just a courtesy to keep the "hope" alive :-)... check if they have encashed your RPRF....

Delay could be due to the files transferred from Buffalo. You are almost there, don't loose patience :-).... Have fun!!!
