All,
I am a PR of Canada and I heard from some of my friends that a PR doesn;t require visa to visit some countries due to a treaty signed b/w the nations. is that true ?
If yes, where do I find more information about the list of countries? Please assisst.

All,
I landed in Canada on May-28,2012 nd my PR card says it is valid until sometime in Oct,2017. Should it not be valid until may,2017 ?
Does the 5 years count start from the day we land or when the PR cards are processed ?
Please advice !
It is really unpredictable, but on an average it is usually a couple of months...I have seen cases receiving it in a few weeks to some receiving it in a few months !
I had the same situation...
Current processing time is 65 days, which is pretty close...wait for a couple of weeks and ask your friend from Canada to conference you (between your Indian cell number and Canadian Customer service number for PR cards) and ask them about it...I am guessing that...
I am answering this on Qora'x behalf...
Absolutely, I do not foresee any issues with your plans...While you land, don't forget to tell the officer that you are going to stay until you receive the PR card (no one really checks if you stay or not)...this will just let them process your PR cards...
My advice is to wait until you hear anything until May,2013.
If you do, well and good.
If you don't, keep everything ready to be submitted as soon as 2013 cap / window opens.
I think you have enough time to get the CEC or your march 2011 processed before ur work permit expires !
Absolutely NOT.
As long as you made them realize that the email ID they sent the "documents request" was wrong, you should still be able to get the 45 days period.
this is the time for you to make sure that they award your case to the next step, so be very careful in preparing the employment...
This is quite normal.
Include your responsibilities, hours you work every week, benefits, full-time \ prt-time, compensation, awards etc in your letter.
Send me a message if u need to see what I sent !
