If the Applicant (Sponsored Spouse) provided an e-mail address on the application form, then in most cases, the PPR comes through email. There will be a PDF attachment titled - AOR (Name of the Applicant). Chances of lost in transit are quite slim so don't worry too much. Its been 12 days. You...

I really applaud your patience! You have been here cheering everyone and working on that spreadsheet while waiting for the darn PPR. I truly hope when you get the PPR, your case should fly by ND VO like a breeze! On my end, nothing after the PPR but its only been 9 days, I am trying to just...

Hi everyone, I just have a silly question. After receiving the passport request on July 23rd, my wife sent the passport along with a cover letter and some additional supporting documents to the Canadian High Commission to New Delhi using the following address: High Commission of Canada...

Yes, they hold the passport till they are satisfied that all requirements are met. That's when you see the 'decision made' status. The approach is quite inconsistent though generally people report receiving a ppr within 30 days of sponsor approval. From this point on, its a waiting game, if the...

Then take these documents with you and show it to the VO. That should clear up the misunderstanding. You can remove this from the list of items to worry about! :) Prepare and practice on the other notes and try to be interviewed together as opposed to alone.

Maybe thats what the notes are all about. If you have other National ID documents - Voter registration, passport etc. take them as well to support your case.

    New Delhi - 2012 applicants

What did you use as your National Identity Document? If it's a Passport, they need to see the first and last pages (since they contain all information). If you have a Citizenship card etc. then you need to provide a copy that shows both front and back. As the back side contains bio data such as...

I think what he meant was no bio data - name and dob on the back of photographs provided. Not all VO require this. But I guess his Visa Officer preferred things a certain way.

Thanks everyone. Manorite - I feel for you buddy, just hang in there the week just started. If you don't get anything by Friday, you should send a case specific enquiry. However, if its any comfort, PPR date appears to be unrelated to visa times. They are really inconsistent with their approach.

My wife just got the PPR email today! The final hurdle begins for us now. The waiting period is all over the place so no way to know. She has no travel history and it's first marriage for both of us. Let's hope for a speedy process for everyone.

I am not sure about E-mail. Didn't hear anyone doing that. One more thing. You can address the letter to the Initials provided by the Case Officer in the AOR/Approval. It will get the job done faster.

    New Delhi - 2012 applicants

Nope. Still in the line. But looking at the times for people who did receive PPR, it seems ND VO is kind of inconsistent in its approach, some don't get PPR for 30-45 days and then they get a DM in the next 45-60 days. Some get PPR in 10-15 days and the DM takes longer. So it's all around the...

Lalatata, Are you sure PPR has no bearing on the overall processing time at ND VO? If that's true, I would feel much better as I was thinking the actual countdown for Applicant processing starts after the PP reaches ND!
