    Wait....when should 'Medical Results Have Been Received' show up in Ecas? All mine say is: We received your application for permanent residence on August 9, 2010. We started processing your application on October 6, 2010.

    Alberta Healthcare

    Does anyone know what would happen if say I broke and arm or something while awaiting PR in Alberta? It is my understanding I am not entitled to Alberta Healthcare until I get my PR I know when my girlfriend was in New Zealand she injured her ankle and was covered at no cost by NZ's plan.

    Hey another kiwi...where abouts in NZ are you from? My current SIN starts with a 9. I am still working, they said I can continue to use this expired SIN ( have a letter from CIC that states I am allowed to continue working ). I applied for an OWP at the same time as my PR Did you get a new SIN...

    I wonder when I will hear something They received my application August 9th 2010, processing started Oct 6th 2010 Hopefully some time in May right? What does AIP mean and what does it entitle me to? Can I get a new SIN number etc with AIP? Can I leave Canada once I have AIP?

    Yep I sent an application for an OWP too. I got the letter back in October last year. I never got a letter stating the received my application either.

    I hope I hear something in the next few months. Applied August 8th 2010 In E-CAS status is "In Progress" since October. I am VERY lucky to be able to keep working, for some reason they sent me a letter stating I could continue to work If I couldn't work, I would be screwed.

    Hi there, I am on implied status still working and have a letter from CIC saying I am allowed to work until I get my PR result. I have talked to Revenue Canada and they said I can keep using my expired SIN...now I have to do my tax return, and am nervous about submitting it with an expired SIN...
