I hope it's a good jump. I have to be close now...... :-X

Crazylucy, they mailed it to you in April and you still don't have it yet?

Yeah. I dont know. It's a bit strange. I asked for them to re-send it, but they said they cant until next week. How odd.

@ Inlandapp: okay thanks for the info. If I did my math correctly they'll issue the letter at 21 June, I'll recieve it around 6 July. That's not so bad. Does this letter show up in eCas?

No, it doesn't show up in ecas. when you are approved by MICC they will send a note to Vegreville telling them that you were approved and they will likely grant you AIP or PR. Just then it will show up on ecas without mentioning MICC

From the application guidlines it says:
Soo..they send my whole application over to MICC and then contact me? They're talking about the approval from MICC in this quote? Mines going slow:( I hope there isnt anything wrong with mine. They'd send me something asking for additional documents before trashing it, I know this. Its driving me nuts. The agents on the phone arent helping, this E-Cas wont tell me anything (and wont for a long time, I think) and I'm seeing people who applied after me getting the CSQ request! I'm trying hard to just put it in the back of my mind, but it's so hard. Inlandappl, you've been helping me a lot though this process. As I've said a few times, I hope that it's just a slow IO on my file or maybe backed up mail. I live in Gatineau Quebec. I'm American and living with my common-law partner. I think they would ask me for additonal documents by now if they had ay doubts, wouldnt they?

-sigh- I think I'm driving myself nuts :'(

1 st step: you wait for the letter to go on with MICC
2 nd step: you send the application for CSQ, other papers requested (together with the letter that u received from CIC) to MICC and pay 253 dollars
3 rd step you wait for CSQ (quebec selection certificate)
4 th step MICC (not you) sends a note to Vegreville saying that u were approved by MICC
5 th step CIC grants you AIP or PR together
6 th step you receive an appintment for landing interview
7th step you are an official permanent resident of Canada

Hope that helps!!

if you filed your application in december 2010 it is normal(unfortunately) that you have no updates. you should wait another 4-5 months to hear from them

Oh yes I know , I meant no update im CIc website... I lile to follow how fast/slow they work.... When they go faster makes me dreams of having AIP faster..... But I am realist..won,t come before October for us...

They updated it last Thursday, so maybe they just changed the update date to Thursday instead of Wednesday.

Went to the mail today, wasn't anything there yet!

Trying to be patient but I can't wait for it to get to me either, you know. Maybe tomorrow or Friday?

You will have it by Friday, hopefully. In time for your 1st wedding anniversary! Paper for the first year right???

Haha I know, that is what I was thinking. It would be a wonderful gift too! I am not sad about the wait but just so excited and anxious for it to get here. I cannot wait to open the mail box and have it be there. Been in-visioning it since the day I mailed off the application.

Ly, where do you have to go to get your mail? Do they not drop off the mail in your mailbox at the house?

Also, I believe mail between provinces takes 3 business days so if they mailed it out on Friday then you will probably get it tomorrow.

The delivery standard for Vegreville- Halifax(where I live) is of 7 days. All the mails I received from CPC-V took 7 days since they were regular parcel.
Since you live in NL it must be the same time as mine or 1-3 days later(according to the Canada Post website).

You will receive it soon, don't worry. And I bet you will get to land before me since your office is not too busy. :)

Updated to August 3rd!

Still not up to mine yet :(

9 days. Go Vegreville! Even with a holiday they jumped 9 days.
