Callil CIC wont help as they usually dont have much info. If you have both passports and it has ben requested i would suggest to go ahead and submit it . Do you know if you wife had medical in past 1 year for immigration or visa purposes?

I hope they are not assuming that she is already in Canada . I would definitely email CIC and would ask a family member to talk to someone in Canadian embassy in India . The only situation this may happen is if your medical was done within and year in which case you get exemption.

They usually ask for 6 months time but best way to find out is to CIC

try creating another account if that doesnt work call CIC and there tech department should be able to help you out.

Reading score is really low. I think you ll have to redo IELTS which is better then getting rejected after 10 months.

ask your doc to resend it just in case if it got lost somewhere . If you have not received email in 1 month they probably found it or will get back to you . There is no way to find out unless they dnt get back to you but to be on safer i would suggest to ask ur doc to resend it .

this is really weird coz my work permit was valid till dec 2014 and i still got my BOWP approved and received it in the mail today .I think it was just your hard luck . You can try to apply again may be have a different explanation letter this time.

I think it depends on when you started your application. If you submitted your passport with the guy who started his application a month before he is likely to get his passport back sooner. This is what i think i am not 100% sure if this is the process they follow.

If you are sending as courier then i dont think it should be a problem but PO Box can be . Regarding affidavit i would say follow instructions else you might simply get your file back and will have to start the process again . Not only that you ll also loose about 4 months .

I reapplied. In my case they didnt use to send AOR until everything was verified so it took them 8 months to reject my application.

I have seen a quicker response time in the cases of families , couples etc. May be thats the reason , may be they have a different set of officers ,who knows its really hard to predict .

I dont think there is anything wrong. They usually do that when they are done processing your case. You might shortly get request to do all at the same time . Good luck!

I applied even though my work permit was valid till Dec2014 and it got approved. Please provide explanation as to why you want it extended before you even qualify.

I got my BOWP Approved today . I was on closed work permit till end of Dec 2014 but as my company closed down and i explained that in the letter my BOWP was approved.
