Hi all,

I sent the e-mail to cic about my change in martial status on 27 September 2013 . I scanned all the form required for my wife and send it to them . On oct 4 i sent them all hard copies they received my spouse's all form including PCC and every thing on 9 oct .

But on 17 they requested passport for visa . I am so confused they never ask for my wife's medical . I dnt know at this point should I send both of our passports or not . I paid all her and my fees when they requested me right of permanent fee.

Question who applied with there spouse : Do they mention everybody's name in the e-mail or just the principal applicant name .

CIC clearly either missed the addition of your wife to your file or the final processing occurred before the additional info arrived to the office. You should contact CIC and ask to add your wife onto the file. If you will send your passport now your only option would be to sponsor your wife later.

I'm in a similar situation. But I've not got MR yet. I applied in jan 2013. Married sept 2013. Informed cic immediately. My wife's forms and pcc sent to Ottawa. They acknowledged receipt of all forms and documents, but they never said that my wife is added to my file.

So far, no update from cic. I should have got MR by now considering that many jan applicants got MR.

For you, I suggest sending email to cpp Ottawa with your file number in subject. If they had acknowledged addition of your spouse when you sent her documents, it means that she is added. In the meantime, I would suggest you to get your wife's medical done(upfront) and keep the confirmation ready.

Thanks for your replies...

My problem is that my wife is in India . DMP's need a form to do the medical they do not do the upfront medical Or if anybody know any place near punjab or in punjab that will be great.

My consultant replied to cic email but she didnt include my file number in the subject line below is the e-mail You think thats enough ?

This refers to your request for applicant’s passport and photos for visa issuance sent to client, below.
Please note on September 27, 2013 this office sent an email confirming change of applicant’s marital status. Your office confirmed receipt of the email.
Please also note that on October 9, 2013 hardcopies of all required and requested forms and documents for applicant’s spouse were submitted to your office for processing.

Please confirm you have received application forms and necessary fees and documents for spouse.

PLEASE ALSO CONFIRM IF APPLICANT’S SPOUSE SHOULD ALSO SUBMIT HER PASSPORT TO YOUR OFFICE FOR VISA ISSUANCE AT THIS TIME.

Your expedited response will be greatly appreciated.

Indian passport should not be sent abroad by mail.

I would suggest to somehow get upfront medical done at New Delhi, if possible. Many friends of mine did upfront medical for their work permits.

I hope they are not assuming that she is already in Canada . I would definitely email CIC and would ask a family member to talk to someone in Canadian embassy in India . The only situation this may happen is if your medical was done within and year in which case you get exemption.

I called cic already . They said they dnt have a record for CEC. You have to contact cpp-ottawa. Above is the e-mail my lawyer wrote is that sufficient ???how long they usually take to reply . I have only 60 days. any other quicker option .

She never did any medical . she never been to canada .

below is the e-mail from cic.

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED AT THE CASE PROCESSING PILOT-OTTAWA (“CPP-O”).

Has your family composition changed since our last correspondence?

· Have you married or divorced?
· Have you given birth or adopted a child?
· Do you intend to get married or divorced prior to becoming a permanent resident?
· Do you intend to give birth or adopt a child prior to becoming a permanent resident?

If any of these conditions apply, you must inform CPP-O immediately:
OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca

You will be asked to submit evidence such as a copy of the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption certificate or a letter advising when and where the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption is expected to take place. Any new spouse and/or children must be added to your application and be found admissible to Canada before your case is finalized. Failure to declare additional dependants such as a spouse or children before you become a permanent resident could result in the cancellation of your permanent resident visa. Once your file is closed, you would be required to submit a new application and pay new processing fees. Any new application would be assessed under the Act and Regulations in force at the time of its submission.

If none of these conditions applies to you, you may proceed below.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner are required to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) in the amount of 490 Canadian dollars.

Our records indicate that you have already paid these fees. They are refundable if for any reason you do not obtain permanent residence in Canada.

Passport(s)

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least one blank visa page in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be blank visa pages for them as well.

Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must obtain an ordinary passport.

Height and Eye Colour

We require confirmation of this information for yourself and each accompanying family member. Please complete the attached form “Biodata” and return it to us.

Photographs

You must submit two (2) recent photographs of yourself and of each accompanying family member that meet the requirements stated on this webpage.

How to Send your Documents to the Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa (CPP-O)

Please submit all documents by MAIL in a single package. Please quote your application number on your correspondence and send the package to one of the following addresses:

Canada Post:
CPP – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9

Courier:
CPP – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

If you have a mailing address in Canada: To allow you to track your passports through the mail, we strongly recommend that you purchase two (2) PREPAID Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes (National), letter-sized (318 x 241 mm), at any Canada Post retail outlet.

- Complete the mailing label on one envelope showing your mailing address in the “Deliver To” field.
- Keep a tracking number sticker from each envelope.
- Fold and enclose the self-addressed envelope in the other envelope along with your passport(s) and a copy of this request letter.

We will not use registered mail or postage coupons. If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or if you provide an envelope from any other courier, we will return your passport by regular mail.

CPP-Ottawa accepts no responsibility for any passport lost in the mail.

The requested information/documents must be received in our office within 60 days from the date of this letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.

Final Note

The issuance of your visa(s) cannot be delayed so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as soon as possible. An expiration date (dd/mm/yy) will be indicated on your visa and/or on your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR – IMM 5688), and you must obtain permanent residence on or before that date. The visas and CoPR cannot be extended. If you are not prepared to live permanently in Canada immediately after your permanent residence is granted, please consult the CIC website regarding your obligations to retain your status in Canada.

Sincerely,

IF they never asked for your wife's MR, then chances are she wasn't added to your application in the first place.

Did you order GCMS notes? I think you can see from the notes, what exactly is going on.

AFAIK, Passport is the property of "Government of India" and should not be possessed by other than the passport holder.

If you are in Canada with your wife's passport who is in India, it is better you dont tell that to CIC or send it to them, I believe it will only complicate things for you.

If your case is already processed, apply for a visitor VISA first for your wife and take her to canada, you can apply for PR later.

Yes, You can send both the passports.
The same thing happened with one of my friends back home.

1) He and his family were in India when he got his passport request
2) He sent their passports to me through one of our friends who was travelling to Canada that time
3) He sent all the passorts with affadavits(one for each passport) stating that he had to send their passports to Canada for PR stamping
4) He had to go through medicals for all his family members after he sent original passports to me(not sure why medicals after passport), he used the affidavit copies and passport photocopies to get the medicals done as he had already sent the original passports to me. The medicals were sent to CIC electronically.
4) I submitted the passports to CIC giving my mailing address to send them back to me (in Canada) after stamping
5) Once they were stamped and I received, all the passports were sent back to India through another friend who was travelling to India (again using affidavit copies)
6) As soon as he received his passports, he travelled immediately after 3 days with his entire family in the last week of Sep'13 and they are in Canada now.
