you're still below the 1 year processing time. so no need to worry. i would contact your local visa office after the 1 year processing time.

sucks. i also got my pre-arrival letter last week. we can't do anything but wait. whether its 2 months, 3 months, a year. hopefully its faster but who knows

no you dont have to take it. its complementary and its free.

hey my wife is in vietnam too. she just got the pre-arrival email on may 4th, 2018. we submitted the sponsorship on september 20th, 2017. i think you will get your pre-arrival email soon. but even after that, it might be a few months before getting ppr.

just let your Visa office know about it.

Wow that’s like 3 months of waiting for the interview. When did you submit your application btw? Best of luck to your wife for her interview. Make sure she memorized all the dates you mentioned on the application.
