    Looking at general timelines it's been taking 8-10 weeks from app received to in process on ECAS. Just be patient it will come eventually

    Theres no polite way of saying this, but the only reason they do this is because the level of your degree and masters (from the university attended) is of the equivilent quality as a 4 year canadian degree. Essentially the masters bar is higher in canada, hence having to get an equivalence...

    Not the only way - you can also obtain a visa without a job offer depending on your work experience and education - realistically you need a masters degree and a couple of years work experience. you should be able to find the relevant info on the CIC website.
