I was in a situation where i cant stand being in my job much longer, and the lease on my house was up - so am taking a punt. if it gets rejected i have a backup plan... I like to think its more of a calculated gamble rather than madness... Essentially though I can fly with about a weeks...

I finish my Job on Friday... I took the rash decision of handing my notice in 2 weeks after inprocess, hoping it would come through soon... Great for sanity, BAD for planning...

Its a holiday, but its not a statutory holiday, so they may still be working...

To clarify... theres about 5 of us with AOR in mid April whose ECAS's all changed to in process June 19th....

Hi All, I'm stop working for my current employer fairly shortly, and that will also entail changing address. Any suggestions on how I go about informing CIC/Do i need to inform CIC? Based outside Canada. Applying under FSW. Hopefully it will be a moot point and i will have PPR by then, but...

I read it on the british expats forum... hence why i suggested you confirmed this. A mate of mine has also flown back without PR card in his possession, though that was a few years back.

I believe that you can do this if you either fly with air canada, or drive over the border in a private car. I suggest you get this confirmed though!

after PPR i believe its anything from 3-30 days judging by what others have said on here, though from what i gathers the norm is 2 weeks or so.
