I should have flown to LA to get visa stamped. The waiting game bears so much pain. Let's be patient for another week or two. I recall one person just got his passport back from LA last week with visa stamped in the fifth week and passport returned in the six week.

Adding spouse and few kids to the application should not affect you timeline if you timely provide all the required documents. My case is a family of 3 members and the file was processed smoothly without delay so far. But some cases with a timeline earlier than me are stuck in Buffalo now...

Aggree with Sinbad. You may also want to remind the visa officer that you have submitted FBI report and it was good at the time of the submission. The officer may take another look at your file and you may be waived for your new FBI submission. Good luck.
