We were able to see that they received my PR app via ecas. Right now it just says received, which I suspect will be the case for the next 15-16 months. As for my sponsor's app, we have not been able to log into ecas to verify that they received it (though we haven't tried recently). It stands...

Hi Sophee and GG Wife, I "received" AOR today. Can you note this in the Inland spreadsheet? FYI I didn't actually get the email. Rather my partner looked online (ECAS?) and saw that I now (As of today) show up in the system, and that my application for PR was received on May 6th.

Has anyone had issues getting a health card in Saskatchewan with a case 27 OWP? (i.e. the "pilot program" version of the open work permit). I doubt it's an issue here, but you never know.

You'll need a SIN in order to gain employment I think. As for the health card, I'd enquire with your provincial health service. I would def make getting a SIN# the first priority.

To get a SIN# you need to go to Service Canada. A SIN is their equivalent of an SS#. I've heard that it's a fairly straightforward process. After that you'll want to get a health card, license and so forth.

I wouldn't dwell on this. My app was received on May 6th and I don't have AOR either. I suspect plenty of people who applied after I did will receive their AOR and OWP before I do, and I suspect I'll receive my AOR and OWP before people who applied before I did. Hell, my entire application...

According to the cic website, Imm008 was updated in April. As an early May applicant, I can assure you that when I sent off the forms on the morning of May 4th the CIC website did not display this new update. I know because I checked obsessively up until 15 minutes before I went to Canada...

Good that progress is being made Apanna. According to the spreadsheet CIC got my application the day after yours [that's May5th that Apanna's was receive, marimari7]. Here's hoping we can all work soon.
