We were in the same position. When we completed my husbands medical, I sent a letter to the VO along with a copy of my text messages with the mother who refused to have her child do the medical and the receipt confirming we completed my husbands medical. A few months later they sent me their...

Let us know the outcome. My guess is they’ll still move forward with the interview but it would be nice if they got their facts straight. It will be interesting to hear what they have to say about that!

That does sound like a big error! Thank God you requested your notes and read that! I’ve heard a few people say they’ve noticed errors like that on their file. They hold up people’s files for things like only to learn it’s an error they made! Like seriously here!

We had an interview but not in Mexico. The officer was from Mexico and came to the Dominican to conduct the interview. She told my husband right there and then he was approved. She said he would receive an email within a week. We did not get such email for more than 2 months. However, others...

Everyone who has interviews coming up, keep us posted on how it goes. It will be interesting to hear if you get an answer on the spot and how much longer you have to wait for a final response after the interview. We had our interview December 2, 2019 and my husband is still not here yet.

I think you should email them everyday until you get a response about whether they will have your application completed prior to the medical expiring.

You can apply at the 6-month mark but I would recommend even waiting until 8 or 10 months. They don’t really do anything on the files for awhile. Rarely people get through quickly. Do what you think is best

12 months We had to redo the medical even before our previous one expired. I asked for an extension but they didn’t even respond just told us we had to do a new one.

Now you’re waiting to see whether they require additional information, if you need an interview, etc.

You would have to request an extension through the Mexico office by sending them an email or asking them at the time of the interview (if applicable) whether your application will be process in time or if they will be extending the medical(s).

Right! It is very rare that people get approved for the VV. We applied and got denied for the same reason and because they didn’t think he would return to his home country based on the nature of his visit.
