Possibilities of Low ITAs and High CRS for next few draws

Express Entry has acted consistently, with regards to government levels and priorities. For some reason, you kept wanting to insist that points would go down (again and again), despite experienced members telling you it wouldn't. It is Express. It takes an average of a little over 3 months to...

34TH DRAW - 484 POINTS, 763 ITAs. Could this be a declining trend in ITAs?

There is no reason for increased speed. They decreased the number of economic workers (so scores go up and draws go down), and increased refugee and family class. It's not a shame - it's what the people of Canada get for electing Trudeau.

    37th Draw// June 29, 2016 // 482 points // 773 Invites

That's what happens when your immigration system goes schizophrenic. Express Entry was designed to improve things, but the liberals don't like it. They aren't willing to get rid of it, so instead we get the mess that is the current system. It would be simpler and easier if they just did like...

Attempt to cross border as PR with expired card

That would be misrepresentation, yes. Changing one's mind, however, happens regularly, and is legally fine. Intent is part of the law. Here's an example: If you are part of the PNP program, you are asked if you intend to reside in a province. If you land, and you lie (stating that you...

Attempt to cross border as PR with expired card

Let's get one thing out of the way first. Misrepresentation, if proven, is grounds for barring you from Canada. In other words, if you lie, and they catch you, they have the option for that punishment. (Puts on pragmatic hat). When you cross the border, they may or may not ask any particular...

    Sending PR card outside Canada

They have a short read range. The antennas are obvious. They won't be read at the airport, unless they are handed to the officers.

Appeal Won. What should i do next?

You may not have completed your appeal then, and possibly lost it. You should write and ask for clarification, as well as call to find out if you are subject to a removal order. If you are subject to a removal order, then you need to leave.

It's a very good thing that it does. Younger people have more children, and also work more years before retirement. Someone close to retirement will pay little in taxes, but use lots of healthcare. Someone young will use much less healthcare, and over a lifetime pay much more in taxes.

    Io way of thinking

Officers are people, and generally don't want to waste their time. If they know someone will win on appeal, there is little point in going through the hassle and paperwork, unless they want to cause discomfort. This might because you are a jerk they want to punish, or because they are having a...

Appeal Won. What should i do next?

I would suggest calling CIC. If you were rejected, then appealed - I would imagine that the appeal would then override the rejection. If so, I would expect them to send the PRTD to the address listed on the application, for the fee already paid.

34TH DRAW - 484 POINTS, 763 ITAs. Could this be a declining trend in ITAs?

We don't know that at all. It could simply be that they are focusing more on refugees, or on family class, or even that they haven't hired as many temporary agents this summer in order to save money. They might simply be processing fewer people.

    Jewellery declaration

It will depend to a large extent on your wealth and the other goods. If (for example), you are declaring a 10 million dollar car, then the jewelrey is a minor issue, even at $1,000. If you are bringing $5,000 worth of jewelrey and only $1,000 of other goods, it's more important to have good...

At which point, you have caused them to improperly apply the IRPA, as you aren't a visa-exempt foreign national. There is no need to record the conversation, as you have induced an error in the administration of the IRPA. It wasn't the airline that did it - you did.

So stop. He's disagreeing with you, and defending his position (as intellectually honest people generally do). There's a chance the airline will ask your status. If you lie to them, they won't know, and there will almost certainly be no problems. If they do ask, and you tell them truth...

    International students

I'm speaking to those who say that simply earning a Canadian degree should be enough to get P/R. I'm pointing out that it doesn't mean anything, and that we should be emphasizing work experience. I'd also suggest much more of an emphasis on testing skills, rather than simply trying to document...
