HI!
So, I got my Canadian PR status about a month ago to live with my wife and, soon, child. I could have sworn that my immigration lawyer had said any day I spend outside of Canada would count AGAINST my 730 days/5 years. However, after some Googling, and stumbling on the OP 10 - Permanent Residency Status Determination document, it is my assumption that as long as I spend part of the day in Canada, no matter the time, that counts as a day in Canada?
I just wanted to make sure I was reading that right, and more importantly, that the document is still correct. I'm still working in the US and they are not as willing to offer work-from-home unless it's absolutely needed. But I'm returning to Canada every night, so, in the eyes of the 730 PR day requirement, I haven't spent any days outside of Canada. Correct?
Is there any official documentation needed for this? A border crossing log, or something? Or are my personal logs good enough when it comes time to renew?
Thanks for the help.
