Hi guys, When I go to get my Ontario driver's licence, will a written/road test be required, or will I be able to just exchange my licence? I have been driving for 12 years, have a spotless record, and will arrive with certified records from all 3 states I have lived in.

I agree with shiny and lunas. Definitely try marriage therapy first, it can help you both to solve a lot of issues. Immigration is a big change, but if you both truly love each other, you can make it work. There is absolutely nothing your wife can do to take away your pr, so stop worrying about...

The OP did not obtain PR through family class, so this rule does not apply to him. Only if they were a sponsored spouse would the waiting period be put in place.

Mine is the same way, Canada Revenue does the same thing. They like one line street addresses, so they put the apartment number first.

That is NOT social assistance. Regardless of if the child was born in Canada or immigrated there, if your income (or lack of) qualifies you to receive the CCTB, you will receive it. It has nothing to do with your sponsorship duties.

Those are not questions that anyone has to answer. Definitely unacceptable.

It is not unlawful to apply, it is unlawful for them to hire you if you don't have a work permit. So if you don't have a way to ask them for a LMO, then there is no point in applying. Do you have any connections in Canada that may be able to open any doors for you?
