In addition to what astralsource said, there are other provincial nominee programmes as well for which you can try, depending on your NOC. For a start, search for various Provincial Nominee Programmes (websites) and check their qualification criteria.

IMO anything above 440 has a very good chance of receiving ITA before the end of this year. However, if you can't wait for that long then try PNP options

8000 between 450 and 468. Wow, that is like almost 450 candidates at each point. Are there any figures to support that assumption cause I really think that number is a bit exaggerated

Mention it as 2005. Do not stress yourself over this too much since once your documents reach WES they take will the final details from the documents. Good luck

Thanks for the info about US PR lottery :) I agree with you that the EE system is very fair and transparent but the fact that CIC have mentioned about displaying individual rankings suggests that they are looking to make further improvements to the system, and that is what all of us are hoping...

All candidates at and above the cutoff score receive ITA, irrespective of their NOC or occupation.

I am at 447 as well...all logic suggests that the scores will drop to at least the 440 level, maybe not in the first half of the year but the second half. However, the number of ITAs being issued has to remain at the same level as the last few draws. The reason why I think the scores will come...

I'm at 447 as well...hoping that the scores will come down to that level within the next 3-4 months. Since we are witnessing the ITAs being raised to record levels there is no reason why we should not expect the CRS to come down to record levels as well...the only question is, WHEN?

It should work, in all probability. However, nobody can be 100% sure about this. In case you have tried your best to get the reference letter from your ex employer and still unable to get it, then your best bet is to do as suggested above. Be positive and everything will work out fine. All the best!

Well, sorry to say this but honestly, with a score of 358 you may never receive a direct ITA. However, you still have other options like increasing your language score, trying for PNP etc...that is what the express entry system is all about...stretching yourself to the limits and trying to eke...

The last draw in November was PNP specific with low number of ITAs, so am not sure even that should be considered as 'compensatory' for a regular December draw.

I strongly feel that there would be another draw before 2016 draws to a close (on coming Wednesday, in all likelihood), because if CIC wanted to have just one draw in December then they would have waited for 21st to continue their recent trend of drawing on a Wednesday, which would also have...
