I just read from the EOI in New Zealand. You need 100 points to get in the pool. They select applicants over 140 points to apply for a visa. Also applicants with less points plus a job offer. I am just assuming Canada will do the same. 6 month to get a visa wait time in the pool? no idea

I thought you need Canadian job experience to qualify under CEC??? I am pretty sure everybody needs to be in the pool in 2015. if you have recent Canadian job experience you might get selected if you get enough points.

I dont think so. I am pretty sure there will be a point system. What Canadian employer would wait for 6 month until you get a visa. and even if you have the visa you need a couple more month to arrive in Canada. There has to be a possibility to be selected without a job offer. Or do they offer...

I think once you are accepted in the pool you can be selected to apply for any kind of Visa - based on your points, for example over 140 get selected - based on a job offer - based on a provincial nomination isnt that basically how skillselect works?

Yes or you get nominated. I still wonder if it take 6 month to get a visa, what employer will wait that long?
