Express Entry will be like entering a "qualified" pool......then whoever is "picked" by the govt or employer, they will be invited to apply for PR.
If you're not wanted/selected, then you just remain in the pool for a certain time. Just because people can join the pool it does not guarantee invitation to apply for PR.....
You'll be competing with others in the pool for that nomination/invitation. Sort of like going for a job interview. There will be so many interviewed candidates, and how many are selected, remains a mystery.....

Still no info on required criteria/qualification from CIC yet. Maybe when we get closer to 2015....

So does that mean there are no more pointing system under the FSW Program? Everything will depend on the Employers and the Canadian Government? So even if you have 80 points, but if one of the employers or the Government didn't like your application and would assume that you will not succeed in Canada, your application will be returned to you, in other words applications will be rejected. :(

Exactly what I think. It's all dependent on Employers now. CIC is giving them the power to accept/reject your application. Keeping personal aspirations aside, I feel that this is how the program should be. Ultimately, Canadian economy needs to boosted by the new immigrants rather than the new immigrants being a burden for the economy.

Having said that, I am sceptical about my chances. FSWP would have suited me better than EE. Anyhow, keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for CIC to announce full details about EE-2015.

I read a lot about skill selekt in Australia and EOI in New Zealand. New Zealand has a point system for EOI. If you reach 100 you are in the pool. They select applicants over 140 points to apply for a visa AND applicants that reach less points but have a job offer.
maybe Canada will do sort of the same thing??

I dont think so. I am pretty sure there will be a point system. What Canadian employer would wait for 6 month until you get a visa.
and even if you have the visa you need a couple more month to arrive in Canada. There has to be a possibility to be selected without a job offer. Or do they offer bridge visas so you can be in Canada to start your job lets say in 3 month?
if you get a lot of points, especiall for canadian work experience you can be nominated. I hope so

For the benefit of everyone, can you please elaborate on 'get nominated'?

Also, what would you believe the average waiting time to be?
I just read from the EOI in New Zealand. You need 100 points to get in the pool. They select applicants over 140 points to apply for a visa. Also applicants with less points plus a job offer.
I am just assuming Canada will do the same.

6 month to get a visa wait time in the pool? no idea

One more question that comes to mind is whether EE2015 will consider only a handful of NOCs like FSWP?
I think they will focus on I.T., Engineers and Medical Related Jobs.

I would recommend that you guys also try your luck with Australia, New Zealand, etc and not just rely on Canada.
Try them all, and whoever selects you first, go for it.

Preparing for the launch of "Express Entry"
New caps for Federal Skilled Worker and Federal Skilled Trades Programs, and Canadian Experience Class
April 23, 2014 — Ottawa — Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander today announced new measures in key economic immigration programs to prepare for next year’s launch of Express Entry, Canada’s new active recruitment model. Express Entry will lead to a faster and more flexible economic immigration system that will address Canada’s economic and labour market needs.
b]To prepare for the launch of Express Entry in 2015, Citizenship and Immigration Canada will begin accepting applications under new caps for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC), starting May 1, 2014. These measures will ensure a steady supply of skilled workers who are settling in Canada permanently and helping to supplement the Canadian workforce in areas where there are skills shortages.[/b]

There are talking about 2015 for EE and also saying application being accepted on 1st May 2014?? HOw ??
