How to Cancel Application/Get full return

I don't think you'll get a full refund in that case, but you should still get most of the fees back. Here's the email they sent us when we decided to withdraw our app: Sir, Madam, Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request...

How to Cancel Application/Get full return

Yeah, haha! Getting a full or a partial refund will depend on the stage your application is at the time you withdraw it. Have you received AOR or SA?

I still have some hair left and would like to keep it that way, so I officially don't care anymore, but my husband would like to know what you did to get that damn piece of paper. Any tips you can share? Thanks.

If you or your partner are Mexican, then yes, it's surely faster to do it in person. In our case I don't even think that's possible, as I'm not Mexican and the PGR site says that foreigners who want to get that PCC in person must have an FM2 or FM3 (which I obviously don't have as I don't work...

I am not sure if they require an actual letter or not. We printed the email sent to us from our visa office requesting the PCC and included that with the rest of documents. As for the address, it used to be the one at Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193, but that address has now been taken off the...

Cancelling INLAND PR... Need to travel. Applying for Multi-Entry and OUTLAND.

We did this (although I'm from a visa exempt country) and there is no need to wait for confirmation of withdrawal before you reapply. Some people at the call centre will tell you otherwise but they don't necessarily know what they're talking about. Also, CIC will tell you that they'll refund the...

I don't think you can request them directly to the visa office, from what I understand it's a different govt department that deals with this. Have a look at this video for the instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_E_dq_uLVo

Yes, we received them a few days ago. Basically it shows that it took the officer 5 hours to go through everything and mark eligibility, security, and medicals as 'passed'. However we have no DM yet because they're waiting on another document from a different visa office that doesn't seem to be...

No, from what I understand it applies to outland applicants who are outside of Mexico and who have already sent the PCC request to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City.

Just a heads up that may be of interest for non-Mexican outland applicants who have requested a police certificate through the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City. We received our GMCS notes yesterday and there is an email exchange between our VO and Mexico City. The VO asked why is the police...

Just an update on this. I have spoken with someone at the PGR and was told they cannot give any information on the progress of PCC requests for non-residents handled by the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City, because the embassy "doesn't give them a file number". They would only be able to track a...

Will do. My VO gave me 30 days to comply and I explained the situation to them asking for an extension too. I guess they wanted to verify that I wasn't making it up so my VO got in touch with the Canadian embassy in Mexico and they told them something completely different, saying that the...

I'm in the same situation, sent the request in mid-February and haven't heard since. Funny how they love giving out inconsistent information, as I emailed the Canadian Embassy in Mexico last week with the same enquiry and they told me "You will be advised when police clearance has been...

Shared business or freelance work while on visitor visa & PR application legal?

That's a tricky one! I was paid while I was outside Canada, that's all I can say.

Shared business or freelance work while on visitor visa & PR application legal?

If the job pays well enough it's not such a crazy thing to do. Living costs in Mexico were really low, so the whole thing was worth it even when I added the cost of the plane ticket. Also, you wouldn't be turning down a potential client.

Shared business or freelance work while on visitor visa & PR application legal?

Yes, it sounds silly but that's what I did. Took a 2-month holiday to Mexico and did whatever work I wasn't allowed to do in Canada.

Haha, no, I'm definitely not optimistic, but I thought that receiving the case notes should take 30 days no matter what?

Still waiting. Haven't heard from Paris since they requested a police certificate back in February.
