Somebody on the last page (at the bottom) seemed to have gotten an AOR, but haven't heard anything else!

Open Work Permits not being approved even when meeting eligibility criteria

As far as I know, if you are out of status and your application is returned for OWP, you are no longer eligible to apply as you don't hold a legal status anymore. I'm wondering why IRCC instructed you to sign the OWP and send it off again? What is the 90 day grace period? Thanks!

Does application to extend as visitor void work permit?

We'll do that! Just one more question for you  it mentions on their website it's ideal to apply 30 days before the current status expires to apply for the visitor extension. I'm guessing as it's not a requirement, we're okay to apply now (only 14 days until current status expires)?

Does application to extend as visitor void work permit?

Okay, thanks. So even if our visitor extension was approved, if the application isn't returned, she can continue to work regardless.

Does application to extend as visitor void work permit?

My partner is on IEC work permit that expires April 25th, 2020. We've submitted a Common Law PR application + OWP which was received January 31st. As I understand it, if our application is returned for any reason after April 25th, my partner will be out of status and then not eligible for OWP if...

Working while waiting for PR application

Yes, you'll need to submit an OWP application (with a full OWP checklist) with your PR application to get that implied status which allows you to continue working past your work permit expiry.

What happens if AOR not received and IEC visa expires?

Okay, good to know! Even if out of status, you can still apply for PR right? Just not OWP? We'll apply for an extension just in case as we get closer to the end of the IEC work permit, if we still haven't received the AOR.

APRIL 2020 - INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

It's longer now, actually... A lot of people who's application was received end of January are still waiting. That's more than 70 days now.

What happens if AOR not received and IEC visa expires?

I had a question relating to this. We've applied for common law inland PR + OWP, received end of January. My partner's IEC work permit expires April 25th. As I understand it, if it's past April 25th, and our application is returned (PR or OWP), my partner will be out of status. We can then...

    Questions about maintaining legal status

If your wife is on IEC, and you've applied for a work permit with your PR application, your wife can continue working until a decision on the OWP is made, even if the IEC work permit expires. My parner is on IEC and we've applied for common law sponsorship with OWP. I have contacted IRCC...

    Incomplete Application 90 Days Hold

Thanks for clarification. I was just worried it meant that if an application was found to have a missing signature, they will hold it for 90 days without returning it, like some people are suggesting in the monthly inland/outland threads.

    Incomplete Application 90 Days Hold

The link here https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/coronavirus/permanent-residence.html says, Does this mean that an application submitted in January or February won't be returned if it has any...

    Application returned

To add to the previous comments, as a software engineer, I really think 80% of the entire application validation process can be automated and save applicants months of stress due to missing signatures, and other minor arbitrary things that might offend the person reviewing your application. It...

****January 2020 - Inland Spousal PR + OWP****

My application was originally received on December 23rd, and was returned January 28th due to one small missing piece of information. I sent it back the same day and it was received January 31st. Really hoping it's not gonna come back again. Does any one know if it's still possible at this...
