Hard to get common law sponsorship?

Is it hard to get accepted for common law sponsorship? I'm English and my partner Canadian. I understand we need to live together for 12 months, but is the process difficult? Do many get accepted?

    How does it work?

I can get affidavits, but that's about it. Plane tickets and hotel bookings I could get, but we don't share credit cards or anything. What happens If I wish to visit my family in England? We are not glued together and I may need to visit my parents at some point.

    How does it work?

We can prove we want to Spain together, but we're only in the UK a week before going to Canada.

    How does it work?

Hey rob :) Nothing like that. We want to Spain together for 4 weeks and then lived at my mums. We are now living at her dad's place until we get our apartment sorted.

What if I get denied Canada Experience?

Marriage might be out of the question right now haha. Her dad works for an oil firm so maybe he could help me out. I figure I can last tithe end of January in terms of money.

    How does it work?

I would have lived with my Canadian girlfriend for a year next March. How long would it take for me to get accepted as a resident? Is it likely I could be refused?

What if I get denied Canada Experience?

Sorry yes I'm going for for the international experience canada programme. I can imagine that many people apply for it and plenty get refused. I'd personally love to just stay and not work, but I can't afford it and wouldn't be much of man ifI just lives of my girlfriend.

What if I get denied Canada Experience?

I'm currently in Canada with my Canadian girlfriend as a visitor and we are soon to get an apartment together. In December I will apply for the CE programme in order to be able to work and support us both. The experience programme has a limited amount of places to give each year, so if I was to...

    Confused regarding common law sponsorship.

I met my Canadian girlfriend why she was living in London and I was a University student , though we are now both in Canada. It seems I'm going to eventually have to leave her as I'm on a tourist visa and my funds sadly won't last forever. I've heard to be considered as a common law relationship...

Please help as I'm very lost.

We can prove we have been together for a year, but not too sure about proving we've been living together for a year as we have done a lot of travelling. Won't even consider any cash in hand jobs, I'll have to continue with whatever writing jobs I can get from EU based employers.

    Cash in hand jobs?

I'm a recent history masters graduate and able to play piano up to level 5? If I was to act as a private tutor in either history or piano, would this be classed as an illegal "cash in hand" type job? I can't risk breaking any laws as my partner is Canadian and need to do everything legally. I...

Please help as I'm very lost.

Hey Rob, it's closed until December now, but I'll have to just be a visitor until I can apply. Just worried about the money situation. Cash in hand jobs sound tempting, but that is too risky and wouldn't be fair on Canadian citizens as I'd essentially be an illegal worker. I have to basically...

    University educated?

Please help as I'm very lost.

Thank you for your reply :) Yeah I feel like I would be putting her dad out if I put him through all of that. I heavily respect how hard Canada is to immigrate too, I've seen my country destroyed by lenient immigration policies, but leaving behind my girl friend after all we have been through...

    University educated?

Does being University educated mean you can apply as a skilled work? I'm a recently graduated history major, though I currently only have work experience in menial jobs. Thanks, Josh.

Hello all, I've just graduated from University and finished travelling Europe with my Canadian girlfriend. I myself am English. I'm coming to Canada as a visitor and I and my partner will be travelling the country and living at her house when not. In order to stay with my girlfriend and support...
