Is it hard to get accepted for common law sponsorship? I'm English and my partner Canadian. I understand we need to live together for 12 months, but is the process difficult? Do many get accepted?

I can get affidavits, but that's about it. Plane tickets and hotel bookings I could get, but we don't share credit cards or anything. What happens If I wish to visit my family in England? We are not glued together and I may need to visit my parents at some point.

How could we prove it?

We can prove we want to Spain together, but we're only in the UK a week before going to Canada.

Hey rob :) Nothing like that. We want to Spain together for 4 weeks and then lived at my mums. We are now living at her dad's place until we get our apartment sorted.

Marriage might be out of the question right now haha. Her dad works for an oil firm so maybe he could help me out. I figure I can last tithe end of January in terms of money.

What possible back up plan could I have? It's a while yet until my partner can sponsor me. What makes me laugh is that my partner and her friend got UK work visa's as easy as anything.

I would have lived with my Canadian girlfriend for a year next March. How long would it take for me to get accepted as a resident? Is it likely I could be refused?

So how would I apply and make sure my application gets through?

Sorry yes I'm going for for the international experience canada programme. I can imagine that many people apply for it and plenty get refused. I'd personally love to just stay and not work, but I can't afford it and wouldn't be much of man ifI just lives of my girlfriend.

Do many people get denied for the experience programme? What reasons do they get denied?

We can prove we have been together for a year, but not too sure about proving we've been living together for a year as we have done a lot of travelling. Won't even consider any cash in hand jobs, I'll have to continue with whatever writing jobs I can get from EU based employers.
