So easy for Third Worlders? Why?

Well in from England and have seen my country literally destroyed by people from ethnic backgrounds. If you aren't English, you don't what I'm talking about.

So easy for Third Worlders? Why?

I hope I didn't come across wrong. I didn't mean non-white. Just unskilled and not English speaking.

So easy for Third Worlders? Why?

Because England has an open door immigration policy, and our last socialist government made a concentrated effort to make us multicultural. Anyone can come and live in the UK no problem. To move to places Like Canada and the US, I was under the impression it was hard. Well for educated...

So easy for Third Worlders? Why?

I'm quite perplexed at how hard it is for a myself to get a work permit for Canada, yet everywhere I go there is a good deal of ethnic workers, although highly unskilled. I myself am 100 percent English and have spent 5 year in University, and I hope to one day teach history at a University in...

    Getting a driving licence?

I can't afford to wait an entire year though. I can't understand why I can't just go to a driving school and then pass the test? It's like that is most other countries. I can't see the point in needing to wait a year!

Do I need to wait a year before I can drive?

I don't have my drivers licence yet, though I really need one as Canada is so vast and the public transport system isn't great. I understand that you need to get a learner licence and then wait a year before you can get the full licence? Is there no way I can take lessons and then take the test...

    Common law sponsorship and working?

Thanks once again, Rob. If I don't get the IEC I couldn't stay any longer as I wouldn't have the cash. My partner offered to support me but Id never accept it. Really having to bank on the the IEC programme. It's funny as I have had job offers, but it is all basic stuff so I'd never get the...

    Common law sponsorship and working?

I'd never marry someone just to gain access to Canada. Should the 12 months start as soon as I landed as we have been living at her dad's house. The only reason I got 6 months is because they went and spoke to her dad.

    Common law sponsorship and working?

I'm here as a visitor right now and hoping to get a holiday visa in December, but I'm not banking on it as it's very luck of the draw.

    Common law sponsorship and working?

Hello. She is a Canadian citizen born and bred. We have been living together since April in the UK, but could not prove that. It is a real pain as I'd have to leave her to apply to be with her? I'd have to leave everything behind in order to go back to the UK and wait for a year to go back. A...

    Common law sponsorship and working?

Wow that sounds crazy! I'll probably wait and see if we get married or something. Could not imagine being trapped in Canada for 2 years. Only proof we have of living together is our joint lease on our flat. If I went back to the uk and applied for Outland, would she have to come with me? She...

    Common law sponsorship and working?

Just to add I'm going for the IEC in December, but I'm not banking on it as it's like a lottery due to so many applications. It's a first come and first served type of deal.

    Common law sponsorship and working?

I've been doing some research and it seems that common law sponsorship applications can take up to 2 years until completion. Is there a temporary work permit that could enable me to work during this time while waiting for the application to be finalised? The whole process is so difficult and...

    I keep getting job offers!

My partners father wants to employ me, but a LMO won't work as it will be a basic job. Seems a bit pointless.

    I keep getting job offers!

Not really. That is an experience programme with limited places. My parter and her friend simply applied for a two year work permit and got it with no hassle. Not being rude but I've seen quite a few third worlders in Canada, so I can't really see how this tough immigration policy is working.

    I keep getting job offers!

I'm from the UK and living with my canadian girlfriend as a visitor. I really want to support myself more and I keep being offered work, though I need the whole labour market opinion which takes forever. Is it possible to get a work permit without a written job offer? When my partner came to the...

    Getting a driving licence?

I don't have a driving licence from my native country. Is there anyway I can get one in Canada without getting the learners and having to wait a year? Am I Ben eligible for a learners as a non resident alien?

Hard to get common law sponsorship?

We have an apartment but no joint bank account. I lived at her house with her dad for 4 months. I may also want to go home for a few weeks though as I do have family. Long term couples don't spend every living moment together.
