I would have lived with my Canadian girlfriend for a year next March. How long would it take for me to get accepted as a resident? Is it likely I could be refused?
Do you have lots of proof of living together that dates back to last March, like joint lease, shared credit card or bank acct, mail delivered to home, etc etc?DukesArcher said:I would have lived with my Canadian girlfriend for a year next March. You need proof and evidence showing you lived at each place over the 12 months time. With no proof, it will be hard to get approved and could be rejected.DukesArcher said:Hey rob
Nothing like that. We want to Spain together for 4 weeks and then lived at my mums. We are now living at her dad's place until we get our apartment sorted.
Any shared accounts (e.g. bank accounts), shared bills (e.g. utility bills), letters sent to the same address, affidavits from your parents confirming you lived there together.DukesArcher said:How could we prove it?
If both of you had mail coming to your mum and her dad's places when both of you were living there (like separate bank statements, etc). Basically you need something that shows both of you were living at the same address during those times.DukesArcher said:I can get affidavits, but that's about it. Plane tickets and hotel bookings I could get, but we don't share credit cards or anything. What happens If I wish to visit my family in England? We are not glued together and I may need to visit my parents at some point.
