Probably you opened the account after your soft landing? How many days does it take to receive the first statement after opening the account? I landed mid March, quarantined for 2 weeks, opened the account only a few days ago.
Congrats and thanks for sharing, you are the first one I read to receive SIN after landing in March. Curious, what document you provided for proof of address? It was the hard one for all new PRs.
What are the different status before one receives the card? Right now it says "Submitted" for almost everyone who landed in March. Does it change to "Approved" next?
Login to CIC, below your application you will see a link for "Link an existing application to this account". Choose PR card and Use your COPR to fill the form. Let me know if you are able to link it, because I couldn't. For others it says "Submitted".
Not sure if you are aware, but the link to online application has been down for the last few days. Hope they process our online application submitted 10 days ago.

3. I don't think so
Make sure you land in Toronto when the Service Canada office at the airport is open. Its right next to the counters where you sign your COPR with the officer. Otherwise you are...
You just have to google "apply sin online". Anyways I just did it: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin/apply.html#online
Thanks for the write-up. Question: How do you find who is the hiring manager for a job opening? And did you have success with the job sites to find openings?
I don't think thats true. Do you have a source for that? From what I have seen its only that The province has limited short-term rentals to those “who are in need of housing during the emergency period.”

You are lucky then. Without a SIN its been worrying that there is no opportunity to start a job even if we and an employer wants to. The address proof requirement is actually worse than that. They need a proof of address of applicants not a friend or family. It must be a utility or bank...
Usually SIN is provided immediately for in-person applications. So I am not sure why would it take longer to process it once someone looks at an application. The address proof requirement complicates it. Did you manage to receive the address proof from your bank? Is it just a document stating...
Login to CIC and in your account info, you would see a link that says "link your...". You can google for instructions on how to use your COPR for this.
