Hi folks! My CoRP expires on May 29th. Now Japan has declared state of emergency and I can’t find direct flights to Canada. Im still have a flight to Canada booked (São Paulo - Toronto) but due the countries restrictions I can’t flight to Brazil. I bought another one (Tokyo - Toronto) But it has also been canceled.
My question is: When should I raise a web form to let them know about my situation and ask them for a extension?

One a couple of days before expiry and one just after copr expiry. Then one when the sitiation hipefully gets normal and you are ready to fly
Send a web form now so that you are registered in the system as currently not able to travel, do not wait until just before expiry, that makes no sense given unlikely travel will be normal for months
Why do we need to send one after expiry?Unless we are able to fly I don't think we need to send web form after expiry.Others pls clarify!
If your application's final status is changed from approved to In progress then it is an indication that your application is in review for you to tell when you are able to travel. In this period there is no point of asking for extension as they have already considered giving you an extension. This is as per the process shared by IRCC for extension.
There is no change in my application status as per my consultant.I will try calling them tomorrow.

No!! Travel seems to be restricted till May 31 but you should still be able to find odd flight.

Not sure if you are aware, but the link to online application has been down for the last few days. Hope they process our online application submitted 10 days ago.
This is perfectly aligned with Canada's travel ban till 30 Jun. Let's hope this virus settles down in June and July.

It’s banned until June 1 from air canada .... not until June 30 anyways I would have been expecting That from India .... suddenly banning the travel make foreigners stuck in that country is ridiculous decision ever
As far as I know some Americans opted to stay in India despite of evacuation flights. Only NRIs and PR holders want to leave India in this COVID19 situation.

Yes people r different we wanna be with our loved one in this tough situation not staying away from them ... just a group of people who wants to stay their wish
same here. Whew!Thank!!
Did not know about government facilitated quarantine. I want to know if people like me who are first time landers and have no proper self-isolation accommodation can qualify for this? This will be a huge relief
