    Thread for outland Buffalo applicants!

Can't remember exactly when I sent this request in since I had originally made the request in May but sent it to the wrong place. Think it was about 5-6 weeks.

Xpresspost can go to either address (it is not courier so can go to a PO box) but if you use the first address you cannot get a signature.

9 pages. And it is just a bunch of print screens so the header information doesn't always line up... very messy.

Well just received our CAIPS notes... by EMAIL!! Nice to know we don't have to wait for them to be mailed. We did the application as an Access to Information Requset ($5 fee) because we didn't have proof my husband was in Canada (no passport stamp). The email I recieved states our application...

You only need to send one set of police checks at the start of the application unless CIC asks for them specifically. The police checks needs to be within their 3 month validity when your application package is received at Mississauga. And yes you need to include everything in the initial...

Well the 2 photos requested with PPR are specifically for your PR card (so make sure they are good because you'll be carrying that picture around with you). As to what they do with all the others... no clue.

Sounds like they are doing that a lot lately. My husband's medicals expired in May and we just got PPR last week without having to redo them. :)

There is no form for the height and eye colour.. just type something out in word with the applicants name and file number. The photos are NOT passport photos. They are much smaller and some people in the US seem to be having trouble getting them done (we got ours at Costco in Canada without...

If you are currently in Canada you would select the "Privacy Act" option and do not have to pay $5. You would also not be including the form to authorize someone else to access your file. Under Section B the office is where your file is being processed (Buffalo for people in this thread) and...

Ecas still showing "in process". The last update we received in Ecas was around when my husband's medicals expired, think the day before, back in May. That's when "medical results received" showed up. We also had the address dissapear and reappear recently.

    Thread for August Applications :)

Just got PPR this morning!!! My husband submitted a case specific enquiry on Monday so maybe that got someone's attention. We're so excited that they extended his medicals (expired last May). We only get 1 month to get the passport in though.

Hope you are alright. I was in a car accident last Oct before my hubby was staying with me. And I know what you mean about the emails. I mentioned to my husband that the request comes by email and the last one he got from buffalo ended up in his spam, so he's paranoid he's deleted something...

We just filled that out and we put me (sponsor) down as spouse but indicated I'm Canadian and currently in Canada. I couldn't find anywhere that said not to indicate the spouse. Would assume it might help with the application for the reason to be in Canada since I'm supporting my husband.
