Same here. My AOR is June 10. I called them a week or two ago and the agent said my eligibility has not been completed. Now i feel i should have asked if they have even started it or not. I'm going to be ordering GCMS soon.

Hey @cansha - I called CIC a week or two ago and found out that my application was getting processed in Montreal. My timeline is a part of my signature. When i called them, i was told that my eligibility was still in process/ not completed and Background check including Criminality has not...

I was just kidding because based on some applications, including mine Montreal looks to be moving slow.

Hey @shrey01 - Could you please share your timeline from AOR to PPR ? I'm applying from USA and found out couple of weeks ago that my Visa Office is Montreal. I would like to get an approximate timeframe from you, since you have mentioned that your app was in Montreal too.

It shouldn't really take months. Like @sidd1987 said IRCC is unpredictable. I would guess you should be getting your PPR soon :) Good luck!

I'm surprised that they didn't give you much info considering your status shows as BG in process (which is usually IP2). May be they are in the process of transferring your file to a LVO - Local Visa Office ? From what i have read, that's the last stage. Have you ordered your GCMS notes ?

Yes, i did ask the agent if my criminality was started and he said that falls under Background check and it will begin only after the eligibility is passed.

I got the exact same response when i called them a week or two ago. And the agent said the Background check will start only after Eligibility is passed. Are you applying from the US ?

It looks like you are in IP2. Have you tried calling CIC ?

Does everyone usually get the "How to find a job in Canada" message post AOR ? I did get the exact message but this was after i got the ITA. I've been in IP1 for long (FSW-O) applied from USA. Should i be worried ?

I used the same number to call them. I have a T-mobile connection, not sure if it's got to do something with the provider. Did you try Google voice ?

I called through my cellphone from US. I know a lot of people have tried calling through Hangouts and were successful. It's probably the high volume of calls, try calling them again. Good luck!
