Yes, it is possible to get PPR directly from IP1 and also there have been cases when you get PPR immediately after moving to IP2 or within a day.

I actually wouldn't totally agree with you on this. Like you mentioned officers are slow, similarly officers in certain VO's are really slow. I am the primary applicant with a Big 4 experience - just one company for several years! No travel history except India and USA, 2 layovers if you want to...

Don't worry. My application is in IP1 for almost 2 months. The best you can do is wait, i know it's not easy. I called CIC yesterday to check the status of my application and it does look like it is moving slower than expected. You can call and check your visa office and the progress and check...

I had someone working for Security & Investigations agency view my LinkedIn profile last week. My brains got crazy and thought it must be related to the application but when i called IRCC yesterday they informed me that my eligibility was still ongoing. But @sujit.e comment gave me some clarity

Yes indeed! I wish we had more references to try and compare. I have no idea why it would take this long for just eligibility!

I called CIC to check the status of my application. The agent informed me the same status that i got on my previous call (which was over a month ago). Eligibility is in progress, he said they are still reviewing it and i have nothing to worry about. LOL MY AOR is June 10th folks :)
