For me both applications show 'In process" on the ECAS page, I am past my medicals now, but you can get more detailed information if you link your application to the CGKEY account

In your case it probably means they got the medical results, that's what I saw when I was waiting for mine, and shortly after it updated to PASSED

I think this is the DM, when you get AIP (approved in principle) it says something like you meet the elegibility but they are still waiting for your medicals and stuff before making the decision

If you are trying to link the PR application you have to put 2 in the last questions where they ask about how many people are in the application (the spouse counts), I tried forever to link mine and I was putting 1 and then I read this on the FAQ section...
