Question! It seems like there's a good chance August will be getting PPR in Nov (15 months). IF it does happen, how long does it usually take to get passports back? I was planning on visiting my family in the States for Christmas, but if CIC still has my passport I may have to change my plans.

Hello!! I'm an inland August 12th applicant (AOR November 24th). I just got an email from myCIC notifying that there was a change made to my application. Background check has now changed to "In progress". :D Looks like they're working on the weekends.

No, I think this might be what you're confused about. You're not really supposed to leave Canada before you get your PR card (unless you're from a visa-exempt country). After you land, you're supposed to get the PR card in the mail and that takes up to 6 weeks.

I don't think that's accurate. I'm pretty sure you're ok to leave the country after you get your PR card.

Mine did this as well. I guess it's normal? Not sure. I'm pretty sure we have nothing to worry about, though. They passed me on my medicals a few weeks after background check changed to "not needed" so I'm sure everything is fine.

I think I just put "None", 000000 for the test # and my application date in that section.

ECAS and MyCiC are different. You have to sign in with your bank account and then link your application to it. You should be able to see a box like this after it's linked: https://i.imgsafe.org/ef62218573.png

I paid it on March 21st but they received the receipt on April 5th so roughly a little over a month and a half-ish.

Yup! It works. I sent them the receipt via the CSE and in the mail (just in case) two months ago. Since they didn't get our last few additional docs until the beginning of this week, I'm not really expecting any MR until June. :/ Congrats! :D
