yeah,you have to wait for the first approval,if you are approved its will come along with AIP letters...just hang in there.

dentpratik welcome to the thread,yes your application has been received and its been review by IO and until he/she finishes that its still in the states of application received......after reviewing its then you move on to application in process.its normal.for email confirmation its depends on...

Pearl,well its all depend on the IO assigned to your file ...its can be that he/she just finished reviewing your file and i guess your e-cas will state in process...am not sure why its took 4 months to send an email but sometimes the mail room can delay your applications....dont worry the delay...

as per the application if you are being sponsored ,you come under a implied status meaning your status will be based on the out come of your application or you can apply for extension of your visitors visa while your application is been processed.....you live legally while you are under implied...

congratulations!!!!.....this AIP, you not to worry about your status once you get the approval in principle cic will cancel the refugee claimant status . just follow the instructions in the letter and you are good to go. ;D ;D ;D

well i do understand your position and worry and i can tell you for a fact that i did not receive any email from my cic and its also depends on the IO who is working on your file and there is no standard procedure for that to send email acknowledgment as some people have received....the fact...

cic will contact you for more info when they need it...but for now its 11 months for first stage approval ...your ecas will show up from 2.5 - 3 months.just stay back and relax and allow cic to work on your case..then again if you track it and has been received why worry.....stay strong

yes its true but those of us in Ontario can apply for OHIP after you have got your AIP........i dont know of other province.

thanks for the reply,her work permit has already expired and she was refused when she tired to renew it then she has got a letter from cic refusing her work permit extension and have been ask to leave the country.....does she has any option now.thanks
