    Remember, the proof of residence in Canada doesn't mean that the pax cannot travel on vacations/emergencies. It's all about a "residential tie". Even in the last six months the pax had been abroad, say for few days to a month (generally) - that's fine.

    CIC looks@PCCs based on a Federal outlook, not city specific. So, if yours is issued by any state / city of India, it's perfectly alright. Go ahead & obtain it from your current city of residence, it'd be fine.
