    to clarify my post, in Quebec there is an extra form to fill out for declaration of sponsor abroad. In the rest of Canada there is just a bit of info in form 5540E that needs to be filled out. (question 11)

    he does not. There is a form for Canadians living abroad that he'll need to fill out and send in with the application but that's about it. :)
