    **INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP JANUARY 2019**

You might not get acknowledgement, but you can follow up with a second web form to enquire or call IRCC —if it’s been this long maybe call this week? I didn’t get acknowledgement about my sent documents until I followed up. (They had the documents, it wasn’t a problem, but I had no way to know...

    **INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP JANUARY 2019**

Tbh I’m worried that for some of us ecas is kind of meaningless? I have AIP and ecas is saying DM both sides, but no DM letter, no “decision made” line when I open ecas, and when I called IRCC they told me that the final decision had NOT been made yet. And GCKey isn’t updated at all. So I have...

Congratulations! Did you get a letter / update line on ecas in addition to the DM showing on ecas?

    ***November 2018*** INLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

I’m an August person but I’m also waiting on Vancouver with DM both sides and no DM or landing letter. Here’s hoping it goes relatively smoothly for us all :)

DM on ecas: what does it mean?

We have DM on both sides of ecas, but have received no DM letter. I asked IRCC, and they told me no decision has been made on my file, and that I have to keep waiting for a final decision. Does the applicant-side DM on ecas indicate a decision on AIP, then? The way DM on sponsor-side just means...

From the Vancouver Landing thread, it sounds like at least some people get landing letters about a month after DM on ECAS, but never do get DM letters. I guess we just have to hope...

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

I’m a bit concerned that so many of us have DM on ECAS but no DM letters. Do they just not send DM letters to Vancouver applicants? Surely they must... especially since landing letters take months...

Here in Vancouver, interviews are 3+ months out so even if you don’t have DM you may beat me yet! :) I called IRCC and the agent told me they actually have NOT made a final decision on my file, though BGC is done, so I guess that does mean ecas is wrong? Or that it’s indicative of just AIP...

    Spousal sponsorship

Yikes, please do not marry someone you’ve only known online for three months! It will absolutely be viewed by IRCC as a major red flag for your file, and even if that weren’t an issue, it’s probably not the best start to a life-long relationship! Don’t rush. Meet in person first — take it from...

Looking through different threads, it seems like a LOT of people all got DM both-sides on ECAS this week, but none have gotten actual DM letters. I’m starting to worry there was some sort of update error and none of us actually have DM status...

Spouse sponsorship approved, and we didn’t go and we reapply in a few years

I mean... if you don’t actually plan to live in Canada, I’m not clear on what he needs PR for? It’s not really intended as a “citizenships of convenience” program, it’s for people who genuinely want to live in the country with their loved ones...

**NEED ADVICE! Newborn Moving to CAN from US!

Yes, absolutely. There are many plans/providers, and that’s what we did when moving— I can’t specifically recommend one for kids, though.

**NEED ADVICE! Newborn Moving to CAN from US!

The baby will NOT have health coverage right away — none of you will, because the province has a three-month residency requirement before coverage kicks in. You’ll want to purchase travel insurance for her (and yourselves). I believe she’ll be covered after the three-month wait period, though.

Spouse sponsorship approved, and we didn’t go and we reapply in a few years

Consult a lawyer on this one, I think. If it’s too late to withdraw and you don’t land, I believe they will consider your PR to be abandoned and therefore void, and applying again later would be a problem.

    ****JUNE 2018 INLAND Application****

It’s the same for us and I’m assuming it’s because Vancouver is so backlogged and slow. I think we can expect to wait a few months in limbo with no letters, judging by what others seem to be experiencing. Probably nothing until the landing letter/appointment, which is 2-3 months after DM.

    ****JUNE 2018 INLAND Application****

I wonder if they got it wrong and criminality is done but security is ongoing? That would make more sense at least... Maybe order notes for yourself again and compare to the last set to see what (if anything) has changed?

It has to come soon now — mine actually came after I gave up and left everything alone for a few days (which I NEVER do haha). :) just keep watch for any document requests! But who knows, maybe it will jump straight to approval!

Your GCKey is linked and you can get messages, right? If not keep checking your email (and spam folder) because it seems like a fair number of people get document requests at this point. I think it’s going to be especially common for our batch, too, since at this point the financial and tax and...

I’m sympathetic— if what they see looks like the GCMS notes, it takes a LOT of scrolling around and deciphering haha

(Also I never got a single update for file transfer, I think it’s normal only to learn about transfer by calling and specifically asking— and you have to get an agent who both knows/can see and will tell you!)
