INLAND AUGUST 2018 APPLICANTS - JOIN HERE

YAY I’m so glad your file is moving! The BGC seems to include a lot beyond the FBI cert and the agent I asked once implied it had multiple steps or parts (even though those don’t show on GCKEY—you can see them in GCMS notes, tho). The FBI cert covers criminality but the security part of the...

Same here and it’s been almost three weeks with no further updates online or by email. I’m hoping for a landing letter but no idea how long it might be.

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

Well heck I’d happily go to Surrey if it would speed things up. I’d take a ferry to Victoria even! :D (I’m an August applicant and the waiting is not easy... come on landing letter!)

I don’t think everyone from the US needs state police checks — I only submitted my FBI cert, back when I applied, and I’ve not been asked for anything else, not even an RCMP cert. So don’t worry:) if they do want it they’ll ask, but I at least got AIP without it!

Inland Landing Interview from Vancouver Office: waiting time

Do landing letters come by email or post or on GCKey? And do people get actual DM letters, or just DM on ecas and then a landing letter some weeks later? Really wishing for an update but feeling pretty resigned haha

    What's next after ECAS DM?

Just have to wait. You may get a DM letter, you may not. Landing letter may come right away, or you may wait for months (especially if you’re in BC, the Vancouver office is incredibly backlogged and slow...:( )

They gave us the same request and we got AIP right after :) Your list looks good to me. I suggest you format it by organizing all the files into one PDF with a checklist at the front telling them exactly what each included document is. When I got my ADR they also told me to include a copy of...

Try sending a web form (and maybe attach the requested documents to it just to be sure)

    ****JUNE 2018 INLAND Application****

No, the due date doesn’t really mean much. It sets automatically as one year from the date the task is assigned and probably if nothing happens within that year a reminder pops up or something. But it definitely doesn’t mean no one will touch your file until that date! My notes had a bunch of...

Hm yeah, it’s too bad they didn’t send the letter before the transfer. But it’s possible the agent who gets it after transfer might cancel the request for more documents... You could try sending documents via web form since it’s been a month? But they might still send a letter anyhow.

What is the date of the entry that talks about cohabitation documents? Do your notes say they’re going to generate a letter? I’d wait for the letter. To see specifics on what they want.

    Ghost update

(Also I ordered GCMS notes, and there was a week+ delay between an agent updating the file to say an additional documents request was needed and the letter actually getting generated and sent. So the ghost update could be that.)

    Ghost update

Sometimes a ghost update is a portion of the BGC completing. They add it to your file but don’t always bother to update the outward facing part of GCKEY that we can see. It’s probably good news, even if you don’t hear anything. At least it’s movement!

    Ghost update

No one can give you an accurate estimate but you may see something within the week. (Or not! But a lot of people do.) It may not be a full DM. I got a ghost update that was just an additional documents letter.

We’re twins! Maybe we have the same agent, who prefers just making updates on ecas and sending an AIP letter while neglecting GCKey... I guess this is maybe just how Vancouver does it, haha.

come in - for people received AIP but waiting for DM on PA side

I got DM both sides on ecas but frankly I don’t think it actually means anything. I called IRCC and they told me that no decision had been made and I just had to keep waiting. No line in ecas to say a decision had been made and no actual DM letter. Got DM the same day as AIP, so maybe someone...

    Very Urgent.. landing

Being impolite and snapping at people is no way to get good answers. But. Yes, some offices schedule landing interviews on Saturdays.
