Credit card statement vs debit card statement

Did you get a request? For me I’ve never gotten a Debit card statement. It comes out right away, so it’s basically my bank statement which shows far more than debit card usage. Now my credit card statement only shows payments on that card... and it’s a seperate statement I can easily get and...

Required to file should be selected YES for 2020 tax year ?

2020 isn’t over yet (annoyingly). As far as I’m aware you should list 2015-2019 as that’s the last 5 years.

    Is IRCC returning incomplete applications?

Depends what you forgot, I missed a year on my taxes and had no issues. But also applied Jan and only missed that years tas reference. Normal AOR time for most apps to return if something major missing is 3-4 months. Right now, expect double that at least due to COVID.

    Oath Ceremony- COVID-19

Intersting however let’s remember that Australia is also one of the best five (if not three) countries along with NZ for virus containment. I have a friend there who is back going to coffee shops and they’ve only had 100 deaths (as opposed to 6,000). While Canadian numbers are still lower than...

Hardest parts of the Canadian citizenship test

No mock test I took came that close. Richmond is the closest. Hardest parts depend on you. Some people are into politics so those questions (is any) are easy. Names were hard for me, dates and names I did flash cards for. I waited until I had a date to do the mocks and did every one I could find...

How long for Citizenship AOR ?

Post details in thread specific to when you applied and an admin will update. Google for the place to login (have a book mark somewhere if you can’t find it) and should be able to login with your name, country, date or birth and one of several references (you pick) in the AOR. May take a day or...

Citizenship application query PLEASE HELP!!! (employment during PR process) (BCPNP) URGENT URGENT!!!

It used to be up to a year from application received to decision made. The official DM to oath is 2-3 months but that can be next day or much closer to 3 months depending upon location and luck. Most people are looking at 10-12 months to DM and 2-3 for oath. So bank on 12-15 months... but with...

Will COVID-19 slow down Citizenship processing?

Saw a news article about new doctors taking the Hippocratic oath via a video but I think the world is needing doctors as quite a urgent thing right now. Whatever method is used still requires people at some stage of the process. So it makes sense really to focus on the most critical areas and...

No update from IRCC on citizenship oath ceremony. Next steps?

I think it’s worth noting that some offices like Scarborough process 1800 a week(actually in three days) via mass 300 person ceremonies twice a day. Even 100 people a day is going to fall very short of these numbers. For some areas.

Submitted Citizenship application with IELTS Academic Test Results

It'll be returned but you can just send it back with the valid paperwork and the same payment proof. I can't recall how long that payment proof is good for, I have a feeling it's 6 months but that may well be extended as AoR times increase due to the ongoing pandemic. No need to lose money here...

    Hamilton citizenship applications 2019

To be honest guys you all seem to be under 12 months for DM so that your oath is taking a bit longer still puts you in a better boat than many other applicants. Seems Hamilton are fast for processing (compared to many others) but slow on Oath.

Traveling on Indian passport after receiving citizenship (Re-entry to Canada?)

Two days after your Oath apply for a Canadian passport. If you want it quick pay $50 extra (easier to then get it even faster if needed) but be aware they may want proof of travel. 24h is $110 extra ($495 weekend) and unlikely to take your money without proof of travel (ie: ticket). Advice is...

    Practice tests for citizenship test

Well the mock tests on apnatoronto are 25 questions whereas the test (now) has 20 (with 5 blank slots left), also the Richmond one gives the score at the end not question to question which makes a difference. And while apna has a slightly larger pool everything is fixed, Richmond has random...

    Question regarding RQ

This does not sound like RQ. RQ as far as I’m aware is Residency Questionnaire, normal requests are for bank and card statements, mortgage or rental details, proof of being in Canada etc. This is almost certainly non routine (even FP is non routine and ~20% of people get that), and likely just...

Did anyone receive oath invite Scarborough office?

IRCC website lists within three months of test, but generally means DM. If there’s a delay in DM expect the oath to take longer. 12 months is average for routine applications from received (not AOR) to DM. Details in my signature but believe test was Nov 18th and Oath was Feb 7th. There was a...

Did anyone receive oath invite Scarborough office?

There’s a Scarborough oath thread but the standard timeline is “within 3 months”. And my own Scarborough oath took about two months to arrive - this office did 1800 oaths in 3 days the week I took mine. If it’s DM it’s just a matter of time.

    Practice tests for citizenship test

Yes as per s23srinivas; you want and SHOULD (in my opinion) be getting 19/20 on that one by the time you take your test. Others generally speaking are a little more detail orientated and while they can ask anything the pass mark is 15 not 20. Be warned many of the test sites are also woefully...

Possible mistake in Physical Presence Calculator?

Explain it at the interview. You’re meant to put details in calculator but only list the actual country you entered so sounds absolutely fine.. You can’t even submit the same day twice of memory serves as I had some long comments where I entered and left and then entered Canada again in same day.
