French is definitely a means of adding another 6 points. Though I've noticed that spouse/partner points actually cancel out the extra points that you can get when single. So, being married doesn't increase your points - they still max out at 481.

481 here....applied since mid-September. I've nearly completed all of my documentation - just worried that it'll get old and need to be renewed by the time I get an ITA... :( Also, without living/working in Canada, how is it possible to go above 481?

So I guess there will be no draw today - :( This is a little disappointing...
