    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

I am. OWP Application received 10/30/19 (backdated to 10/23/19). AOR received 12/24/19. Was hoping OWP would have been electronically approved by now; just hoping it comes by the end of them month. I check my GC Key every day, but have not tried calling IRCC yet. I fully realize that every...

OHIP question for those of you in Ontario that have received your OWP paperwork (not just online approval): Is the OWP paperwork enough to bring to Service Canada for an OHIP application? Or do you have to wait for the Confirmation Letter of PR eligibility from CIC (the following taken from...

Biometrics will be after medical. There's a little confusion if we (October 2019 Inland applicants) will have to give biometrics though, as the law changed AFTER we submitted, but before we received AOR. I posted a question to the group for clarification on this issue, but no one ever replied...

If "they" means IRCC, it sounds like your MPP has directly received your AOR. After AOR, "In Process" is the status your file stays at for quite a while. Perhaps your MPP has linked your application online using your Application # & UCI (Unique Client Identifier), both which are given in your...

At what point during my 6-month visitor status would you recommend applying for a visitor extension? I'm nearing 4 months in to my allowable 6. I am hoping that my OWP will be approved any time now (received 10/23/19), but you never know, and I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thank you!

Here are the requirements for applying for OHIP (from: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/programs/ohip/ohipfaq_mn.aspx): If you are applying for Ontario health insurance coverage as an Applicant for Permanent Residence, you are required to present written confirmation from Citizenship and...

I like reading that people are receiving communications on the weekend, whether it be for OWPs or medical requests! Also-Although Monday the 17th is Family Day, most of the Government does NOT have this day off (in case you were planning on calling IRCC or checking for any updates).

Weird, I have a little red box alert right next to the bell icon in the top-right corner. And I also do not receive emails. Have you tried playing with your profile settings, to "reset" them?

I just got a "new post" alert, but I did log on last night and noticed they weren't giving alerts. Was also my first time seeing the new layout. Maybe they reactivated that function.

Mine says "In Process" as well (OWP App received 10/23). I'm going to try and wait it out until March 1 until I call IRCC. In the meantime I am updating my resume.

Many October 2019 inland applicants are still awaiting approvals on their OWPs (I am one of them). They have started coming in February for the October applications, albeit slowly but surely. I'd give it at least until the end of the month, then try calling again or reaching out via Webform to...

Does anyone in here know for sure if we (October 2019 Inland PR applicants) will have to give biometrics? Our applications were received by IRCC before the biometrics law change in December 2019, but our AORs were received after. Just wondering if anyone has been advised by an IRCC official or...

FYI: Inland AND Outland PR applications are now showing 12 months for approval time. Outland can no longer be assumed to be a quicker process, unfortunately.

Spreadsheet question: Where do I find the information for column G ("PA's ECAS says In Process") in my GC Key? Seems like most are just filling that field in with their AOR date. My GC Key does have my status as Submitted, but then it also says "Your application is in process" when I click on...

I do not think you can apply for an OWP at this point. It should have been be submitted with/at the same time as your PR application. Your options seem to be to apply for an extension to your current work permit, or wait until you have PR (option #2). Hope this helps!

Is 23 October 2019 the day the paperwork was mailed off by your representative? If so, your timeline is similar to mine. Since it has been 90+days and you haven't received an AOR email, I'd reach out to your representative. The Government is slow, but most of us in a similar timeframe heard...

Yes, I believe you are correct. Once we have PR we're good to work [almost] anywhere without any special permits, just as a Canadian citizen would be. I see the approved OWP during the PR process as something to hold us over and have us start making money and paying Canadian taxes while we're...

Since we are talking about OWPs, a question dawned on me. Assume we all (in this forum) submitted our PR & OWP applications in October 2019 Assume a majority of us receive OWP approval in January-February 2020 Assume a majority of us are approved for PR in October 2020 (~12 months...
