For inland applications, in case if a person application status changes to DM a week before their work permit/visitor record expiry and no PPR was done, still that person need to apply for work permit/visitor record extension?

if your medical status didnt change with in 2 weeks from the date of submitting the upfront medical report, then you should go with CIC medical request. this is my opinion.

In my case, after completing the medical request, i didnt do anything, doctor sent my medical report after 2 weeks, as soon as CIC receive the report, they updated the status in 2 days. Sending email is optional.

During Aug to Sep month every year, Sep is being back to school, where immigration would be busy with processing student visas, so that might have caused the delay for PR applicants.

In my opinion IRCC had considered your employment offer is NOT legitimate, that's the reason for your rejection i believe. Again, this my guess as per section 200[5]. Better try reapplying with same employer, or try with any new employer, or apply for visitor visa if you want to stay in canada...

I believe you had submitted upfront medical report, which seems not working in your case. They might have checked your file today for DM, and should have found that IME medical request which is not done for your file, hence asking for MR. As soon as you medical exam is passed, you should get DM...

Great! Whether you stopped at Lacolle inspection station or you went till "Canada Border Service Agency" check point?. I just checked the border in google map, i am not sure where to stop and get the PR. If you can share the details, it will be helpful for me when i get PR.

I would suggest you to get an appointment with CIC montreal office, instead of crossing the border. If i am at your position i would reach CIC montreal office.
