Stupid Canada Post!!! The envelope went from Montreal to St-Jerome. It got re-routed to Montreal so now I should be receiving it tomorrow...

Please note that if u land in Quebec, you'll need a CSQ! Quebec nominees can land in any province but other PNPs' CANNOT land in Quebec coz they were not accepted by Quebec.

Of course you can't leave the province until you gain the Permanent resident status at the Port of Entry. If you tell the officer at the POE that you do not intend to live in that province, obviously he/she will not grant you PR status. This is totally different than moving out of province once...

I am not sure if they will count you as a visitor or permanent resident at the Port of Entry coz you will have the immigrant visa as well in your passport. Also, it'll say automatically in their system that you are a permanent resident so I am not sure if the visitor visa becomes still valid...

What I heard from people, it depends on the officer at the Port of Entry. Some might be nosy if you dont land near Quebec since you have a CSQ. I think it would be safe to land near Quebec. The rules say you can land anywhere but just to avoid a bunch of questions from the officer, I think it...

I don't think QSW get priority. It depends on the security check batches that they send. The reason why my file got finalized now is that my application LOCKED IN date in GCMS was March 8, 2012, the day I received CSQ. So I think they counted me in march applicants. Sampri.

ditto! I gave myself a date of 15th sept the latest. The visa letter said they couldnt delay issuing the visa so I should send the passport asap so I am guessing it wont take months like few people out here on this forum. Good luck :)
