Hi all , my spouse is in canada on the visit visa and i would like to change it to the OWP. I am a PGWP holder which is valid till 2015.My job occupation comes under NOC B , so i am elible to apply for my spouse. Need to knew the process and should we cross the border for the changing of the status?

its not mandatory , its just a supporting document. u can always cancel a ticket with charge of certain ammount

@manish , there is no particular time or process to fasten the application.All we can do is wait for their call. Since the strike is going on , heard its taking around 4 months for the process.

Hi , The regular processing times is 4 days , but due to the ongoing strike , its taking around 15 working days or longer. Whats ur status in canada ? when are you planning to apply , as i am about to apply in first week of September.

hi u cannot have two status at same time . If ur company sponsors u and you get the work permit then ur dependent visa(i hope visit visa) will be cancelled.

hmm me to in the same boat . After a fair amount of research and consultations i am also going to apply visit for my spouse in September. Seems like nothing is sure shot in canada immigration

Seems like if the situation is more worsen then they will act more fast for the resolution of the issue. Hope for the Best and pray for god. :(

Hi Poora12345 I am really sorry to hear that ur spouses visa was rejected. I would suggest you to apply for the Owp for ur spouse if u r qualified now.make sure u provide all ur supporting docs like T4 , NOA , Pay stubs , Employment letter , ur work permit . If u r not , then no other option...

@Lionheart001122 , for applying SOWP , the wp holders job category must fall with NOC 0 , A ,B. if yiu apply the chances of visa r very slim.u can try for TRV if u wish :(

Hi , If u have a visitor visa , y cant you come inside the country and apply from within the country for the SOWP? Sorry if i missed any of ur earlier posts .
